Rogues Portal Pull List – 2018/12/12

It’s Wednesday, my dudes, and that means it’s New Comic Book Day! There are tons of new comics hitting the shelves of your local comic shops every week, and it’s not always easy deciding what to get, let alone what you should add to your pull boxes. So we’ve put together the Rogues Portal Pull List to show you the best comics that you might have missed! Here’s what we’re getting and what you should check out today!

Rogues’ Essentials

Batman Who Laughs #1

  • I love everything about this twisted version of Batman. He was mentioned time and again in Justice League and even had a horrifying guest appearance. I can‘t wait to get my hands on this series. – Christoph
  • Snyder is taking the time to revisit one of the most interesting versions of the Dark Batmen. – Greg
  • While still waiting for more Wytches, Batman Who Laughs from Snyder should be a good holdover. – Michael

Empty Man #2

  • Once again Bunn as a hit on his hands with this horror comic. The end of the last issue has me excited for the depth and direction that this series is headed in. – Greg
  • A world-ending disease that has a religious cult? The first issue has me all-in on this series. – Michael

Ice Cream Man Volume 2 Strange Neapolitan TP

  • The BEST horror comic out there. SO MUCH depth and creepy goodness. – Anelise
  • If you are not already reading this series then what is wrong with you? Okay now seriously. This is one of the best horror series out. Each story will make you stop and explored society and its flaws. Once you close the book, it sticks with you and leaves you thinking and debating the story for days. – Greg
  • Twistier and more complex…you won’t regret picking up volume 2. – Michael

Anelise’s Picks

Goddess Mode #1
Women and cyberpunk go together like cookies and milk.

Vampironica #5
The writing and the art in Vampironica are stellar! This has been my favorite of the horror Riverdale comics.

Christoph’s Picks

Electric Warriors #2
The first issue was … electrifying. Great artwork, interesting characters, I am not sure about everything that is going on, but I am in for the ride. Go Electric Warriors!

Fantastic Four Wedding Special #1
The Fantastic Four are back together for less than two months, and they already celebrate a wedding. I am hoping for intimate moments and that everything goes well. Is Doom invited?

Giant Days #45
Last week‘s special, focusing solely on Ed‘s time in Australia, was unfortunately not my cup of tea. I was looking forward to this regular issue.

Josh’s Pick

Hawkman #7
Origin story time! Hawkman is now my favourite superhero, and Robert Venditti is killing this series. It’s like an old pulp science fiction adventure series. You need to add this to your pull list.

Shadowman #10
Evil magicians, romance, and voodoo spirits. What more do you need?

War Bears #3
The finale to a series about comics in Canada during World War II.

Michael’s Picks

Black Hammer Cthu-Louise #1
So glad we’re getting a follow-up to this intriguing character from Sherlock Frankenstein.

Outer Darkness #2
The first issue was weird and flipped the script on sci-fi horror. Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

Sasquatch Detective #1
I have a weird fascination with Sasquatch (ok…not Sasquatch erotica levels of fascination). Throw in some social commentary, and I’m all sorts of intrigued.

Graphic Novels

Britannia Volume 3 Lost Eagles Of Rome TP
I love this series about an Ancient Roman detective. Fans of mythology and history: buy this yesterday.

Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers Volume 2 TP
Saban’s GO GO Power Rangers is the best Power Rangers. – Anelise

That’s all we have for this week! Thanks for checking out the Rogues Portal Pull List! We’ll be back next week with a brand new list for you to check out. Same Bat-Time. Same Bat-Channel!

Basically a hobbit, Josh is always enjoying food and drink, and going on unexpected adventures. Beware if you see him without a cup of coffee: caffeination deprivation makes this boy go loco.
