The Harp Twins are venturing out and trying something new with this comic! Written by Dirk Manning and Illustrated by K. Lynn Smith this comic features their energetic cat grayling.

They reached their kickstarter campaign in five minutes and reached all seven of their stretch goals in less than three hours of the campaign going live on November 1st. With all the stretch goals achieved, they created more stretch goals, and the eighth stretch goal was achieved on November 5th. The last stretch goal they currently have is only 41 backers away from being achieved.

From the campaign:

Legend of the Shaders is a beautifully illustrated, full-color, 24-page comic about Nordic identical twin sisters, and their enigmatic cat Grayling, who discover that their harp-bard life is not as simple as they thought it was… and that the Shader creatures of legend might not be myth after all.

The comic is written, the art is done, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out! Now we want to get Legend of the Shaders into print production. Now here’s where YOU come in. We have this Kickstarter running from November 1-30 where you can get in on the ground floor. Nordic November! We have a ton of fun pledge levels – including an exclusive Kickstarter-only cover as well as other limited time rewards. So please join us for the beginning of this Nordic-inspired adventure!

Recommendation: I have been a fan of the Harp Twins since their Harry Potter themed cover they did and been following them since. They always put all their effort into anything they produce. I’m sure this comic will be no exception. While this may be out of their comfort zone, they are taking a chance on something new, and I am looking forward to it. The comic is written and illustrated, and the funding is for the printing cost of it all.
